fibersect.single

Single Fiber Benchtop Cleaver (Pre-Polish)

The fibersect is designed to cut all epoxied ferrules and connectors.  It improves throughput and first pass yield by eliminating manual steps and human variables.  The fibersect.single also minimizes polishing and provides a precise and reliable outcome. The end result is significant savings in production.

  • Weight: 2 lbs / 0.9 kg

Benefits

Fibersect.JPG
  • Quickly produces a flat cut very close to the ferrule face, presenting the ideal surface to start polishing and markedly improve polished end face geometry.

  • Improves throughput and first pass yield by eliminating manual steps and reducing human variables, thereby minimizing polishing, maximizing reliability and precision, and producing significant savings in production.

  • Simple, One-button operation provides exceptional versatility, portability, and ease of use.

POSITIVE USER EXPERIENCES

  • Minimal Operator Training for easy labor management in a high turnover environment

  • "Good input, Good process output" - Consistent cut height produces even distribution of polishing pressure resulting in higher first pass yields that impact down stream processes.

    • Better control of radius and apex during polishing

    • Reduction in scrap and rework (zero operator dependent)

    • Potential improvement in Geometry, Insertion Loss and Visual Inspection Yield

    • Reduction in Polishing time saves labor and increases throughput

We stock a wide range of ferrule and connector adapters for quick delivery. We also can provide custom adapters based on your needs.

Other options include:

  • Vacuum waste collector

  • Cut counter

  • Footswitch actuator
