fibersect™

The Phenix Fiber Optics fibersects are designed to cut all epoxied ferrules and connectors, including the LC and SC using 125 μm fibers, the 4-72 fiber MT ferrules and SMA connectors with fibers up to 2000 μm in diameter. To achieve the best results with a fast cutting time and maximum saw lifetime, two distinct fibersects are now available: the fibersect.multi.2 and the fibersect.single. They both share a new cutting configuration that provides the smoothest cut possible, permitting a closer cut to the ferrule face and producing the ideal surface for polishing. The fibersect.single contains a finer saw, optimized for cutting smaller diameter epoxied fibers, while the fibersect.multi.2 uses a coarser saw best suited for cutting large diameter SMA fibers and 4-72 fiber MT ferrules.
