The industry’s first intelligent curing oven, the 1Cure™ for both horizontal and vertical curing applications

The ramp cure technology is for elimination of fiber cracking especially on larger core fibers by utilizing ramp and soak cycles. This significant advancement is useful for large core and multi-fiber applications. It also allows for the potential to standardize on one epoxy for various applications by customizing time and temperature profiles
Active alerts including automated text messages and emails may be sent to production or technical staff when the curing cycle ends or if there are any notifications. A multilingual password protected interface provides worldwide versatility and enhanced security for editing and changing profiles. The oven features a horizontal curing base with a removable 24 position fixture for MT (MPO) and a convertible lid providing cable access to a block to accommodate up to 96 single fiber termini (72 for the 1Cure-200) to cure in a vertical position. The internal 15 degree tilt mechanism for the horizontal cure will allow for 0 or 15 degree curing angle to prevent fibers from retreating during bare, buffered or ribbon fiber applications.
The patented 1Cure oven has both soak and ramp temperature profile curing capability. It features a 4” full color LCD touch-screen, network connectivity with remote programmability and access, stores up to 999 programs. The temperature of the actual connector fixture is monitored and controlled rather than the traditional method of monitoring the hot plate. This eliminates the temperature error created by the thermal offset between these 2 surfaces in a typical curing oven. It is also available with an optional advanced cooling system for reducing cycle times between ramp (step) cure profiles.

The 1Cure is designed by Connected Fibers to meet all industry performance and safety standards providing leading technology for the heat curing process of fiber optic termini. The oven is suited for all production environments and for all industry standard connectors and ferrules with use of heat-cure epoxies, including MT (MPO) connectors.
The 1Cure-VS Digital Epoxy Curing Ovens

The 1Cure-VS has been designed using the latest PID microprocessor technology resulting in a fiber optic curing oven with extremely stable and uniform temperature across all heating blocks. Unlike typical analog ovens that have a drift in temperature of ± 15°C, the 1Cure-VS maintains a stable temperature within +/- 0.2°C allowing you to have control of your process. The universal block accepts all standard, single-fiber, connector types making this oven a flexible solution for many applications.
Using the recently introduced curing cassettes this oven is very flexible and can cure standard simplex connectors as well as the recent trend in compact duplex 1.25mm connectors designed for the 400G market.

The 1Cure-VO™ Digital Epoxy Curing Ovens

The 1Cure-VO™ is a programmable ramp and soak capable curing oven. It is capable of curing epoxy in a wide range of fiber optic termini used in telecom, datacom, aerospace, medical, and other industrial applications. Up to 9 programs for single or multiple step curing processes allows the user to follow industry best practices to improve cross linking of epoxies and ensure long term reliability of products.
The temperature of the actual connector fixture is monitored and controlled rather than the traditional method of monitoring the hot plate eliminating temperature error.

The 1Cure-VO™ has been designed with the production environment in mind. Up to 9 profiles can be programmed and stored by engineering and access password controlled to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes.
The operator simply has to activate the Start button to begin running the pre-selected profile and once the process is complete the reset the end of cycle alarm using the Alarm Reset button.
In a production environment with many curing ovens running it is not always desirable to have an audible alarm activate at the end of the curing cycle as multiple alarms sounding concurrently would not only prove distracting to the workforce but would also necessitate the checking of each oven to see which ones were indicating the end of the cure cycle. . The 1Cure-VO provides an option to mute the audible alarm and rely on the high visibility notification LED that the curing profile has ended. This simple visual indicator can be seen from any direction and quickly helps the production staff identify which oven has completed the cure cycle.
Additional front panel notifications are available for over temperature, heating, ramping up, ramping down, run and hold. The display can be cycled through a set sequence to show parameters such as to time remaining, program step and heating output.
