Connected Fibers FHP2 Power Meters

The FHP2Power Meter 850/1300/1310 /1490/1550/1625 series of Power Meters are the advanced version of FHP1 series.  This power meter is suitable for use in the laboratory as well as in the field for testing LANs, WANs and CATV and long distance optical networks. These Optical Power Meters, together with theFHS2 Stabilized Laser Sources, can be used to identify optical fiber, measure optical attenuation, verify continuity and evaluate fiber link transmission quality.

Auto-Wavelength Recognition

The FHS2 units can transmit a wavelength-identification digital encrypted protocol, enabling the FHP2 Power Meters to switch automatically to use the proper calibration parameters. This feature reduces the need for communication between the two technicians and decreases the potential for error.

Referencing function

Signal encrypting can also give the receiving end information on the power to be used as reference, helping ensure efficient referencing, even when the two units are far apart.

    OptoTest OP510 USB Power Meter

The OP510 was specifically designed for applications  where the measuring, monitoring and logging of insertion loss or power fluctuations are needed. The OP510 is a small (4"x2"x1.25") desktop module designed such that minimal movement and bending of the reference and test cables is necessary. This results in stable, accurate and repeatable measurements. A unique feature of the OP510 is the that the 16 bar graph LED displays the approximate power absolute or relative power level. The button on the module allows the user to the reference function or to trigger a computer based measurement. The OP510 is offered with various detectors with the commonly used or fixed optical interfaces. These options cover wide variety of applications. The module connects directly to the computer. OptoTest provides  drivers and applications allowing the user to perform common measurement tasks such as EXCEL compatible data logging or time-stamped stability measurements.

    Key Features :

Extended optical power measurement range, depending on the selected detector +10dBm..-80dBm for InGaAs detector,

    +6dBm..-75dBm for Silicon detector.

    Wide wavelength range 830nm ... 1700nm (InGaAs), 580nm ... 1080nm (Si).

Great measurement resolution of 0.001 dB

    Tight linearity specifications:+/- 0.05dB

    Selectable sample rate selected by application : 1 sample/sec to 100 samples/sec

    Integrated ambient temperature tracking

The OP510 measures the ambient temperature (ºC or ºF) within -10ºC  +55ºC at a resolution of 0.1ºC. This feature eliminates

the needs for an external temperature sensor during long-term stability testing
